Calf, foot swelling when sitting too long, what's wrong?

Insuffiency. Usually when you have swelling in your feet and legs when sitting it is due to a condition called venous insuffiency. The veins in the legs do not work well and retain fluid which should be circulated through out the body. This fluid is then retained in the skin. If left untreated it can lead to cellulitis (skin infection) and wounds.
CoExisting Medical. This may be due to another mdical problem, circulation of he blood, or clogging of the lymphatic system. This also may be due to a suppleme.T or medication you are taking.
