Avoid neck extension. With a disc protrusion at the c6/7 level, too much extension of the neck, like when you look up, can make pain and numbness worse. Avoid exercises where you have to extend your neck for any prolonged period of time. Best thing is to maintain good spine alignment and posture and work on the core muscles.
