In brief: Yes
Called a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (maoi), it increases levels of serotonin, norepinephrine, and Dopamine in your brain.
Although very effective ( better than ssris), maois are not commonly used for depression due to the dietary restrictions (can't eat anything with tyramine - beer, aged cheese, etc). Selegiline comes in a patch version called emsam, which lessens the restriction.

The antidepressant effect of selegine only comes at higher doses taken orally than when used for parkinsons, therefore diet restriction is necessary. Emsam by being a patch gets more to the brain, allowing antidepression effect while reducing diet restrictions
