In brief: Bladder infections

Can sometimes be prevented by taking cranberry pills or juice on a regular basis, urinating after intercourse and of course wiping from front to back after urinating.
If you have frequent urinary tract infections you should see your doctor who may recommend a prophylactic antibiotic. Good luck!

In brief: Cystitis

Cystitis in a sexually active female can be a recurring problem. Preventative measures would include staying well hydrated, voiding after intercourse and possibly drinking cranberry juice to reduce the incidence of bacterial adherence to your bladder following intercourse.
