In brief: Infiltrate rt apex

Isolated filtrate in any part of lung is a shadow seen on xrays which normally is not there.
Most of the infiltrates are due to infectious process like pnumonia, tuberculosis or other infections.Some times you need more images and cat scan to define the shadow if it does not clear with standard therapy.

It used to be a chest x-ray call, and a concern was TB. Prior radiotherapy for Hodgkin's disease and Head & neck cancer do this regularly. Aspiration is another concern. Since "routine CXR's" are not commonly done, I don't hear this frequntly
