In brief: May be

Wellbutin blocks the uptake of norepinephrine & Dopamine while Prozac (fluoxetine) is a ssris so they effect different neurotransmitters & may work 4 u.

combo can be more effective than either alone.

This combination can work quite well for a mixed depression or an atypical depression combined with anxiety.

In brief: It is good, sort of.

It depends. There is no absolutes in medicine.
However, it is not unusual to combine antidepressants if the initial does not work. Prozac and wellbutrin (bupropion) have been combined quite successfully to help many patients.

In brief: Prozac (fluoxetine)

Assuming wellbutrin (bupropion) is at maximum dose and still no response, sometimes Prozac can be booster, taking it in morning & wellbutrin (bupropion) at lunck.
Monitor signs of irritability & anxiety.
