In mean time start u on a broad spectrum antibiotic like Cipro (ciprofloxacin) or Bactrim for 2 weeks whilst awaiting urine culture result ; chnage antibiotic if necessary. Macrodantin shouldn't be used (poor tissue penetration). Drink lots of water ; get lots of rest.
