In brief: NUMEROUS

Perhaps most common cause is lumbar strain/sprain, but wear and tear degeneration called spondylosis is very common, and not unique to injure a lumbar disc.
Inflammatory arthritis may be an issue, and on occasion bone disorders including small tumors may be a culprit. Sacro-iliac issues are another common problem, but piriformis syndrome is seen on occasion.

In brief: Many Possibilities

Depending on how long it's been going on, i would consider an evaluation by a spine specialist.
Sometimes it could be a muscle imbalance, early onset arthritis or scoliosis. Also could be a pinched nerve/herniated disc. Either way it might be good to figure it out and get appropriate treatment.

In brief: Several causes

Most causes of low back pain in a 29 year female are mechanical and related to chronic strain, especially since you are overweight.
Congenital abnormalities, early osteoarthritis and inflammatory back disease are also possible causes. See a rheumatologist or orthopedist and have the issue evaluated.
