Activated charcoal for food poisoning, what to do?

It's not really. Known to be effective for "food poisoning". It's more so used for toxic ingestions like overdose ingestion of phenobarbital. It's only anecdotally used for classic "food poisoning". I would consider just avoiding it.

For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. SaveItForABarbeque. Activated charcoal adsorbs lots of stuff but is not used for"food poisoning"unless due to a toxic chemical,not the type of food poisoning from bacteria or viruses. Some say it's OK for gas but i don't think so.It comes as tablets & as a liquid mixture.The mixture can get really messy & tastes like Hawaiian poi.Take too much and it will constipate you.And if you take medications it will adsorb them.
