In brief: Extremely dangerous
If organs are not getting enough blood, they do not work, and worse they are injured to the point of organ death.
Blood pressure is a direct reflection of how much blood is flowing to these organs.

In brief: Its like a hose
Your blood needs to maintain a certain pressure to flow so to speak - if there is low water pressure you can't shower - if there is low blood pressure you can't live - in regards to sepsis that accentuates the problem - eventually - bottom line leads to death -.
