Replacing fluid losses that contain minerals and electrolytes, e.
g. Diarrhea, sweat, vomiting, only with water; drinking water in excess, e.g. Psychogenic water drinkers. If you diarrhea, replace fluids should contain some salt, sugars, potassium; can start with h2o, and broths/soups, diluted juices, tea (not coffee), not alcohol. Gatorade is ok, but pedialyte is better (less cals, more electrolyt.
