What happens in prolapse of the uterus after giving birth?

Postpatum prolapse. After delivery, all pelvic organs are very lax, large and vascular. One has to wait 6-12 weeks for 'return to normal'.All young people have a good deal of resilience of their tissues and many organs which looked impossible to reduce do regress into their original position-specially with use of kegel's exercises. My advice will be to wait and watch!
Ligament relaxation. The supports of the uterus(ligaments) get severly relaxed allowing the uterus to descend towards and sometimes outside of the vagina. It may require surgical correction.
