In brief: Tarlov cysts

Tarlov cysts or perineural cysts are collections of fluid around nerves.
Most doctors consider them "incidental findings" on an mri, meaning that they are just there, but not causing any symptoms. I have seen a very small number of cases of very large cysts that i thought were causing some nerve pain--but it is very unusual.
