Having lupus, taking vitamin C makes me sick. I am 6 weeks pregnant, and cannot take a regular prenatal vitamin. What do you recommend?

In brief: How?

Just wonder what kind of reaction you had with vitamin c.
Have you actually tried prenatal vitamin to see if it also bothers you? I agree that a healthy diet would be the answer but i also wonder why vitamin c made you sick (acidic) ?

You must take folic acid at the very least.

In brief: Healthy diet and...

Vitamin c does not usually make people with lupus sick.
People with lupus tend to have low c ; taking c may help; consider a food-based c like pure radiance c by pure synergy. Why can't you take a regular prenatal? Folate (folic acid) is important in early pregnancy but you can get from diet- see http://www.Whfoods.Com/genpage.Php?Tname=nutrient;dbid=63 if you don't take vitamins i advise a very healthy diet.
