Beside having HPV is it true that people who have asymmeterical tonils are at risk for developing tonsil cancer?

Risks for tonsil ca. The risk factors for tonsil cancer are tobacco, alcohol use, and hpv (although most adults have been exposed to hpv and don't get cancer). One of the indications for having a tonsillectomy as an adult is asymmetric tonsils. It's not the asymmetry that causes the cancer, it's b/c cancer can cause the asymmetry. If you've had it your whole life, it's unlikely to be serious. If concerned, see an ENT doc!
No, that is not true. Tonsil size or shape has nothing to do with developing tonsilar cancer. Do not believe all this kind of hearsay. It makes no sense at all.
