How long does it take for IgG herpes antibodies to show up? What's the most recent your exposure could have been if you test with low amounts?

In brief: Herpes simplex

Generally 2-4 weeks is the time necessary for antibody formation, but this may be igm antibody, followed by conversion to igg in about 6-8 weeks, but this is highly variable from person to person.
There are some false-negative results as well.
