Have had bright red blood in my urine just once. Urine analysis at docs and lab were clear. Referred to urologist now. What procedure/s can I expect?

In brief: Hematuria

Blood in the urine (hematuria) raises concern for bladder cancer.
But more common causes include bladder infections, kidney stones, and, in men, prostate problems. The standard evaluation is kidney imaging (best is ct scan with IV contrast), cystoscopy (look in bladder with scope), and may include urine cytology (have pathologist examine urine under microscope).
