In brief: Could be a couple

Things. This sounds like a mortons neuroma, or a neuroma in between some bones in your foot that gets entrapped and irritated.
If it is more on the bottom of your foot, it could be plantar fasciitis. I would suggest either way seeing a podiatrist.
