I will be traveling for femoral artery (leg) bypass surgery. How long before i would be able to fly back home?

A lot hinges on how you do.
Once you are walking, eating, voiding, and your incision looks good, there is no reason for you to stay. You will be on Aspirin and probably plavix, (clopidogrel) so travel should not be a problem. If you are concerned, there should be a vascular surgeon closer to you who could do the surgery.
