For how long does it take tinactin (tolnaftate) athlete's foot spray to start working?

Podiatry

In brief: 1-2 weeks

If you are not seeing any improvement with tinactin (tolnaftate) in 1-2 weeks, you should consider another antifungal medication such as Lamisil at, lotrimin (or generic equivalent).
You should use the topical medication for approx. 4 weeks to be most effective. If severe, use of an oral antifungal is very effective. You would need to see your physician for this.

Perhaps, living in N Florida, you may be experiencing Raynaud's phenonenon. Perhaps wearing heavy socks & shoes. Warm soaks or compress may also help. Hope this helps. Robert K Hall, DPM, PA Ft Lauderdale, Fl
