How typical is giant papillary conjunctivitis in patients who have never worn contacts?

Dr. Tim Conrad, Duke University School of Medicine Answered Jan. 30, 2014

Not common. Giant papillary conjunctivitis can occur from any ocular foreign body, but a contact lens is the most common one.
