Please advise what is best to use for a skin irritation?

In brief: Avoidance

If there is no itching, try to avoid scented or antibacterial soap and apply a moisturizer on the skin routinely within 3 minutes after bathing.
Avoid contact with irritants (organic solvents, hand sanitizer etc). If the skin appears clean , a few days of topical 1% hydrocortisone cream may help calm the skin down but the best answer is still "avoiding the irritants".
