Obesity, stress, nicotine and alcohol abuse will also raise it. Regular exercise, good diet, normal weight and relaxation will lower it. Also: cardiogenic shock, sepsis, tension pneumothorax, cardiac tamponade and acute hemorrhage will lower it. (really lower it!).
