Any advice? What suturing technique is used in placing a jackson-pratt drain?

Pretty simple. I just use a 2-0 or 3-0 stitch, which i tie down to the patient , then i wrap the suture around the catheter and tie it down . I just want a little crimp in the drain catheter, so it won't slip out but will allow drainage. I prefer braided (silk) suture for this, though some prefer nylon. I hope this answers your question. Interesting. Good luck.
