Can you tell me about dry socket from getting their wisdom teeth pulled?

Alveolar osteitis. Dry sockets can be associated with the removal of any tooth, and are not isolated to wisdom teeth removal alone. Dry sockets may occur within the first 2-5 days following the removal of a tooth, more commonly in the lower jaw, and may be aggravated or promoted by excessive rinsing, drinking through a straw, spitting, and smoking. Females on birth control pills may be at a higher risk.
