Is pancreatoblastoma the same pancreatic cancer normally found in adults?

No. Pancreatoblastomas are a rare specific type of malignant tumors of the pancreas. Most cases occur in children under the age of 10 years. There is a slight male predominance. Some patients can be cured by a combination of surgery and chemotherapy. The disease is best treated when confined to the pancreas. If the tumor has spread outside of the pancrease, (pancrelipase) outcomes are not as good.
