Chlorhexidine 0.12% rinse vs warm salty water mouth wash. Which one is best used after tooth # 26 extraction and immediate implant placement. Thanks.

Both work... Best advice is to follow your post operative instructions from your surgeon.. They know your situation best. If you're unsure contact them directly.
Chorhexidine. The Chlorhexidine kills bacteria and salt water does not... I think you will get better healing with the chlorhexidine..
Chlorhexidine. Chlorhexidine actually kills bacteria (bactericidal), salt water does not. Salt water helps with inflammation only. I have never placed a dental implant and told a patient to go home and rinse with salt water. On the other hand, each one leaves with a bottle of Chlorhexidine to use 2x/day until it's gone.

How many days you do Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) mouthwash after simple dental implant on 2 upper molar teeth. Would warm salty water wash be better.

7-10. Typically 7-10 days to decrease bacterial presence. Warm salt water is also fine in addition to peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate). I would not do less than 5 nor more than 10. Good Luck. Read more...
7-10. I like to state "7-10days please"....mostly because patients will only do 3-4days which is fine and I like warm salt rinses too if the patient does not like the peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate). Read more...
