In brief: No

It can rupture, however. If the uterus has been operated upon before, the scar can open up during labor.
A markedly distended uterus can rupture in cases of trauma, as well (like an auto collision).

In brief: Yes

It can happen and it as a feared complication as the baby starting that second becomes hypoxic.
It is almost impossible to do a stat cesarean in less than 10 minutes. By then the baby brain was already injured irreversibly.Lucky that it is a rare complication.
