Collagen Production. Sculptra works by stimulating collagen production in the skin. When you first have the "fill" the volume you get is water. This then goes away and the Sculptra remains. Your body then builds up the collagen and breaks down the Sculptra, leaving behind an increase in volume due to the collagen. The results are gradual (3 months or more) but long lasting (as long as 2-3 years).
Sculptra. Sculptra is an injectable liquid used to add volume to areas of the face to create a soft, natural, youthful look in the face. It is best for adding volume to hollow cheeks, boney cheekbones, chin area, jawline, hollow temples, and some body sites.
Sculptra. Sculptra is an injectable filler consisting of poly L-lactic acid. It's FDA approved for injection in the nasolabial folds and marionette lines around the mouth. Compared to traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers (such as Juvederm), Sculptra can be longer lasting, but it's not reversible with hyaluronidase like Juvederm. So try the HAs first and then move on to Sculptra if you like the result.
