In brief: GERD vs heart pain

If in doubt, seek medical attention.
Esophagus pain can easily be confused with heart pain, there can be overlap, &/or the symptoms can occur together or be meal-associated. Symptoms that respond to antacids however are more likely peptic (acid-related). On the other hand, get to er as soon as possible if accompanying shortness of breath, pain radiating to the left arm or jaw, exertional symptoms.
