In brief: Botox and skin

Generally, Botox and fillers only cause minor localized inflammation and bruising (fillers).
If your skin is very sensitive or if you have an underlying condition that can affect your skin (eg lupus or herpes simplex) you are at risk for more severe reactions. Finally, any tender bumps in the area of filler injection should be cause for concern of infection (biofilm introduced from skin surface).
