In brief: Depends on symptoms
It can cause irregular periods, male pattern hair growth, infertility/miscarriage, elevation of blood glucose (sugar) level. Fibroids may cause symptoms including heavy periods, pelvic pain, and increased urinary frequency. Ovarian cyst can cause pelvic pain on side of cyst but will disappear without treatment in 2-3 months.

In brief: Depends
That depends on the size and position of the fibroid.
Smaller fibroids that aren't causing a problem can often be watched. Most ovarian cysts are of the type that go away on their own. The Progesterone will help regulate the periods. Possibly a follow up ultrasound would be helpful. Speak with your doctor.
