In brief: No

Unless there is something extremely off, such as herniation due to infection or something vastly out of the norm. That being said, there is the possibility of paralysis if the disc herniated to far and compressed the spinal cord fully.
That is very rare, but possible. The vast majority of people will not have any serious medical, life threatening issue from a herniation, although it may painful.
