My upper abdomen is slightly swollen, I tend to burp more often, and I am having diarrhea. Had gall bladder removed 5 days ago. Normal?

Common. Discomfort, gas, bloationg, irregular loose or constipated bowel movements csn be very common this early after surgery. Drink plenty of liquids, eat smaller lighter foods ; avoid fatty or greasy foods just for now. Contact your surgeon for a post-operative follow up to answer your questions.

Hi I had my gall bladder removed two weeks ago via keyhole and my stomach is still swollen and hard. Is this normal? The incisions have mostly healed apart from my belly button which is still really sore, especially to touch

Cholecystectomy? ShontelleR242 ~ you had a lap chole and that involves 2 small incisions in abdomen to insert scopes and the abdominal cavity gets distended with air to push the other organs away for op site. That can give distension after the op. If not severe and no other symptoms, you're ok. The belly button is expected till healed ~ 6 weeks. Any change see MD thanks. Read more...

What could cause it to burn excessively during and for a while after pooping? I have diverticulitis and gall bladder removed. Diarrhea all the time.

Fissure? It could be an anal fissure, which tends to be very painful with bowel movements. May also be a skin problem due to chronic diarrhea. Sounds like you need a proper evaluation and good quality exam to figure it out. See your primary care, and ask whether or not it's appropriate to get a referral to a GI specialist. Hope this helps!
