Pain and swelling after a combined fracture/dislocation can persist for months.
Follow up with ortho doc and xrays is required and pt is almost manidtory to regain motion and function. The numbness associated with a fracture sprain usually come from stretching the nerve(s) and may take up to a year to resolve.

In brief: Have it evaluated.

Swelling may last a long time following a foot or ankle injury.
You may have a soft tissue injury if it is just a sprain and may have damaged the muscle, tendon, or ligaments in the area. You may have damage of the articular cartilage of the ankle joint. An MRI may be useful to determine the extent of you pathology. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
