Most peeling is from dehydrated skin or an eczema type of reaction.
Both may be easily treated with first drinking plenty of water. Second, every time your skin get wet (shower, wash, etc), while still soaking wet rub in petroleum jelly (vasaline, aquaphor) for 30 seconds then towel dry. Although this sounds greasy and gross, this should do the trick.
