Neck, left shoulder and left arm pain. I have tingling all the way down my arm. More in my pinky and ring finger..

Pinched nerve? Nerves in your arms trace all the way back to your neck (nerve roots). Any pinching of those nerves, for any reason, is officially called radiculopathy. Standard tests include emg/nerve conduction study, perhaps MRI of the c-spine. I'd ask to see a neurologist for work up, pain physician if the tingling of a painful quality.
Radiculopathy. You may have a herniated cervical disk with radiculopathy (compression of a nerve). See your doctor. An MRI of the spine in your neck may be ordered. Treatment is usually physical therapy and sometimes surgery.

Tingling. Several problems. May be pulled muscle in neck or scapular region. Also sounds like a pinched nerve of the lower neck, possible pinched ulnar nerve at the elbow, too. Read more...
Could be shoulder v . Could be shoulder or neck problem. Both can present with same symptoms. This can be shoulder issue with some instability causing nerve symptoms into arm with the pain centered in shoulder or a lateral cervical disc herniation creating shoulder pain and nerve symptoms down the arm or a combination of both! a thorough evualuation by exam & appropriate imaging is needed. Left shoulder and arm pain with numbness in hand and fingers can't raise arm above shoulder?

Intrinsic shoulder . Joint problem, such as rotator cuff tear or frozen shoulder joint may be present. The numbness could be indeed "shoulder hand syndrome" or maybe brachial plexus issue associated with the shoulder pain. Perhaps a parsonage turner syndrome or even a thoracic outlet syndrome if symptoms worsen on arm elevation. However, sounds like a mix of joint and plexus. See orthopedic surgeon first. Read more...
Shoulder vs. TOS. Reduced range of motion plus shoulder pain and hand numbness are symptoms seen with brachial plexus compression in either the thoracic outlet or pectoralis minor areas. It could also be two diagnoses: shoulder tendonitis or inflammation plus brachial plexus compression. The next step should be a history and physical exam by a doctor familiar with both these conditions. Read more...

Left shoulder and arm pain with numbness in hand and fingers and can't raise arm above shoulder?

Nerve root injury. One of the more common causes of your symptoms is a cervical nerve root injury called cervical radiculopathy. In a man of your age the cause is more likely to be osteoarthritis affecting the foramen (hole where the nerve root exits). The reports of numbness argues against an intrinsic shoulder problem and without antecedent trauma a brachial plexus lesion is unlikely. Please go see your doc. Read more...
Varies . The most common cause would probably be a pinched nerve in your neck. Other potential causes could potentially include thoracic outlet syndrome or one of multiple peripheral nerve entrapment syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome. I would not hesitate to be seen and a good exam could go a long way in determining the cause. Read more...

Left shoulder and arm pain with hand and finger numbness can't raise arm above shoulder?

Rotator cuff. If you can't move the arm above the shoulder you probably have a rotator cuff syndrome and if you have numbness and tingling you have nerve compression- these two may or may not be related. You should see your pcp or orthopedics. Read more...

I have tingling in my left shoulder and down my left arm all the way to my hand. Should I be concerned? No prior shoulder problems or anything

Need a diagnosis. Difficult to determine without an examination. Differential diagnosis could be cervical radiculopathy (pinched nerve in neck), brachial plexopathy, peripheral nerve entrapment such as carpal tunnel syndrome (not uncommon for cts pain to travel up the arm), or even myofascial pain with trigger points. Would suggest physiatric evaluation for definitive diagnosis and treatment. Read more...

Severe onset of left shoulder blade pain that radiates down left arm & hand. Left arm also tingles. Whole left arm is weak. Neck is fine though.

Radiculopathy. Pain that radiates down the arm can reflect a cervical radiculopathy (shooting pains due to a pinched nerve in the cervical spine). Many patients will have no associated neck pain. These conditions typically resolve with time and conservative treatment. It would be reasonable to watch it for a week or two, and use NSAIDs if needed, before seeing a physician. Read more...

I have pain on my left shoulder blade and next to my spine. As well as arm pain and slight numbness in my ring and pinky finger. Also have acid reflux?

Consider these: The numbness anatomy suggests ulnar distribution or c8-t-1, nerve compression in the neck, but this could also be seen in thoracic outlet syndrome. Have you had some recent trauma? Testing can reveal the diagnosis. Doubt the stomach issues relate to the arm and shoulder problem. Read more...
