During pregnancy there are lots of growth factor which are present.
As such, diabetic changes in the eyes can develop during pregnancy and can get worse during pregnancy. It is important if you are diabetic, to have your eyes checked in the first, second, and third trimester. This will insure that if there are changes, they can be treat right away to prevent vision loss.
