Nowadays, the risk is minimal, particularly if you are otherwise in good health. Tb is very treatable with minor exceptions.

Further, if you are walking around with untreated tuberculosis, you are putting your neighbors at risk. And you may be breaking the law. If you have any concerns about treatment, talk to somebody you trust. I am a TB survivor -- 18 months of medication saved my life and made me feel great once again. I hope you will join the club!
