When transitioning a baby from formula to cow's milk, what is the best way to do it? stop the formula altogether or gradually? What quantity per feed?

In brief: Either is fine
There are several ways to transition.
..One has been shared. Another is to just stop formula and give cow milk. Some babies do not like this and then you can gradually transition ...Start with example- 1 oz milk /4 oz formula; then 2 z milk/2 oz formula and so on til it is all milk. You can also transition to almond milk or rice milk and be sure child is eating solids well.

In brief: After age 1 year
After the age of 1 year, you can start cow's milk.
The child is eating three meals a day, snacking and weaned from the bottle. You should not start the cow's milk before age 1, use a cup with 4 oz to start. I personally think it is better to start with less and refill to prevent waste.

In brief: Either is fine
When transitioning from formula to cow's milk, there is no reason to "slowly transition, " assuming the infant has no history of food allergy or intolerance.
Most babies transition to whole milk at around the age of 12 months.
