In brief: Rest & Liquids
If you have a virus, which is a common cause of head colds, i'm afraid the best thing is to rest and drink plenty of clear fluids; your body will have to largely fight this off.
Acetaminophen can help alleviate some of your discomfort, and warm herbal tea with honey is very soothing for a sore throat. If you have a high fever however, might be good to swing by your dr.'s office.

You most prpbabely have spring time allergies causing your symptoms as long as you do not have fever.
You can try over the counter allergy meds like zyrtec, Allegra (fexofenadine) orclaritin, if it does not help or you have fever then consult your doctor.
