We have been trying to get pregnant this year, is it ok to work out hard after ovulation?

In brief: Yes
Exercise normally should have no affect on ovulation in and of itself.
Ovulation is an event following a complex interplay of hormones in the body. However, some women who engage in very intense, regular exercise (e.g., marathon runners, tri-athletes) may stop having their period due to loss of body fat. However, if you are just working out hard every now and then, it shouldn't be a factor.

Yes. There are no adequate studies that show any harm from exercise in early pregnancy (as long as you avoid severe overheating).
It should not make any difference.
