Other than taking something, heat pad, and dark chocolate, what are some ways to get rid of menstrual cramps?

Menstrual cramps. Menstrual cramps are due to the release of prostaglandins from the uterus at the time of bleeding. The most effective way to treat this is with an antiprostaglandin medication such asa, Aleve (naproxen) etc. This class of drugs decrease prostaglandin production and thus decrease the pain associated with menses.
