In brief: Individual

Bicycling is a lot more dangerous than it seems, but it is overall an extremely gratifying and rewarding sport.
If you can get yourself back on the bicycle, by all means try. The risk is there, but so is the reward!

Thank you Dr. Irizarry! Certainly the patient must not return to bicycling until all concussion symptoms have resolved!

In brief: Heal well first

Heal up first, then think about the value cycling / triathlon has for you.
Then weigh this against risk factors and potential losses if accidents occur. Then weight these against your other priorities and values and loved ones in your life. Only you can determine the best choice for you.My knee jerk response as a triathlete may differ from that as a coach and a parent. Cycling /competitive?Good Luck

In brief: Depends where it is

It all depends on where and how severe the fracture is.
If you need surgery then further training is out until the bone heals in 6-8 weeks. If you have a "minor" fracture and injure it again in training then it might become a major problem. Use common sense and get advice from a facial plastic or maxillofacial surgeon.
