In brief: See rheumatologist

If you are concerned, see a rheumatogist as they will be able to determine what is causing it.

In brief: Joint vs soft tissue

The finger has joints but also has tendons, ligaments, bursas and even pulleys.
We would need to know such information as where do you hurt, is there swelling, when in the finger does it hurt, what activities does it impair. Sometimes finger pain comes from tendons in the palm that can tighten or trigger. We would examine all of these possibilities.
