Nasal blockage is common and has many underlying causes.
Viruses, allergies, and medical conditions such as deviated septum, low thyroid, tumors and pregnancy can all cause a stuffy or blocked nose. "aging" nose cartilages are another cause of nasal blockage. As we age, our nasal cartilages can "wear out" and the nose begins to collapse with inspiration. See your pcp or an ENT if blockage persists.
