In brief: Saline nose drops

A constant nonproductive cough in children is often due to nasal allergies or acid reflux.
Rinsing your child's nose with saline rinses and nose drops can help a lot. Prescription nasal steroid sprays can be used in children 2 and older under the advice of a physician as well if allergy is suspected. Talk to your pediatrician about reflux therapy if appropriate.
