Could menopause cause bone pain, painful joints etc.?

Not commonly. Some women complain of aches and pains but these are not typical joint pains. Certainly the joints do not show any obvious damage, swelling or inflammation which is the case in most types of arthritis.
Need more info. Menopause can be a syndrome with many complaints. This condition requires a through history & physical exam. The symptoms you describe are not the common complaints like hot flashes, fatigue, insomnia, headache, diminished libido, some "aches & pains" &* depression and irritability to name a few. My advise is to see your family physician and/or your OB/GYN for a complete exam.
