Hematometria. It's lucky you were on Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) if you had a stenotic (or closed) cervix. It sounds like you have an accumulation of old blood (menses) that can't exit out the cervix. If you had heavy prolonged menses, you might have had more pain, a more distended uterus, and more tubal spillage of endometrium. You would benefit from a D&C and tissue to pathology to evaluate for abnormal cells. Take care. Read more...
