Is it a copout for midlife mom to hire nanny even if she is home part of the time?

In brief: Tricky question
I hesitate to critique or judge other peoples parenting choices because lord knows it's a difficult job (and someone could write a book about all the ways i'm deficient as a parent).
As long as the kids are in a loving home, have food on the table, a roof over the heads, are read to, hugged, listened to and encouraged... Then they'll probably turn out all right... Regardless of nanny.
