Is it a copout for midlife mom to hire nanny even if she is home part of the time?

Tricky question. I hesitate to critique or judge other peoples parenting choices because lord knows it's a difficult job (and someone could write a book about all the ways i'm deficient as a parent). As long as the kids are in a loving home, have food on the table, a roof over the heads, are read to, hugged, listened to and encouraged... Then they'll probably turn out all right... Regardless of nanny.
Agree! You do the best you can with loving intentions.
